Featuring beautiful scenery and a rich background, Fenton is located on the Meramec River about 20 minutes south of St. Louis. The city straddles the county line, sitting in both St. Louis and Jefferson counties. Fenton -- called “The City of Parks” -- has 340 acres of parkland for active recreation and leisure pursuits. Approximately 4,000 residents enjoy ball fields, courts, picnic areas, playgrounds and walking and biking trails. The 70,000-square-foot RiverChase Recreation Center houses indoor and outdoor pools along with meeting rooms, a youth activity center, a fitness center and a gym. Other recreational activities available to residents include golf, water sports, and skating on indoor and outdoor rinks. Children in some areas of Fenton attend excellent schools in the AAA-rated Rockwood and Lindbergh school districts, while students in other areas are served by the Northwest and Fox districts. Fenton's original commercial area, Olde Towne, is located along and near Main Street in the southeastern part of the city. Olde Towne is undergoing redevelopment and revitalization to create a commercial- and service-oriented area that retains its history and nostalgic charm. The nearby Ozark Mountains provide outstanding views, unparalleled scenery and great natural beauty that complement Fenton’s wonderful quality of life.
